Each board of The Farmwood Collection® of Aged Wood Furniture is hand-selected from barns and outbuildings in and around Virginia's Shenandoah Valley.
Our purveyor finds this antique wood among long-unused farm buildings, which otherwise would be destined for the landfill or burning. Instead, we refashion the wood into beautiful new furniture.
Naturally weathered by a century or more of use, our woods are rich in grain, beautiful in color, and solid with age. The effect of sun, wind, and rain cannot be duplicated in fast-grown new wood.
Each piece of the Farmwood Collection® is crafted from these antique woods - Oak, Tobaccowood Pine, Walnut, Wormy Chestnut, and Rustic Cherry. Every effort is made to preserve the natural aged beauty of each board. We use time-tested, traditional craftsmanship to build each piece.
Using reclaimed wood makes us feel good about the work we do. First, we know the wood we use to build The Farmwood Collection® is strong and beautiful, each piece kiln-dried to assure structural stability and pest-free lumber.
